Friday 29th June 2007: Eilidh Briggs is the best RLCGA player at the
Scottish Under 21 Strokeplay Championships
|
Carly Booth from Comrie won the Scottish Under-21
girls’ open amateur stroke-play championship by nine strokes at
Auchterarder Golf Club today.
Despite dropping three shots late on in her final round, including a
double-bogey at the par-3 last where she was plugged in a bunker, Carly
won by the runaway margin of nine strokes from Robert Gordon University
student Laura Murray (Alford) and Kylie Walker (Buchanan Castle).

stroke-play championship at Auchterarder Golf Club, Perthshire
today.

Monday 11th June : Some RLCGA members play in Mid West Vets match

Sheila Shaw (Lochwinnoch) all played in the West Vets v Midlands match
today at Alloa Golf Club. Midlands were the winners 4-3 in a closely

Sunday 10th June 2007: Megan wins the Munross Trophy
|
RLCGA County Champion Megan Briggs, (Kilmacolm)
became one of the youngest winners of the Munross Trophy over
the Montrose Links medal course today.
Megan, had scores of 70 and 73 for a total of 143 against a combined CSS
of 146 (73 both rounds) to win the SLGA Order of Merit event by
two shots from another teenage county champion from the West, Pamela
Pretswell (Bothwell Castle), the Lanarkshire women’s title-holder.
Pamela, three shots behind Megan after the first round, could make up
only one of them with a second-round 72 for 146.
Lesley Hendry (Routenburn) won the best second-round gross award with a
74 (better inward half).

Thursday 7th June : Dorothy Belch wins the June Medal at Lochwinnoch
and Lorraine Morrow is the Medal Finals winner

The June Medal was played today over Lochwinnoch
Golf Course.
Cathy Morton (Eastwood) was the winner of the Handicap Scr
- 12 group with a net 75 and Dorothy Belch (Skelmorlie) was the
winner of the handicap 13 and upwards group and overall winner of the
June Medal with a net 74
Lorraine Morrow (Erskine) had the best scratch of the day and was
also the Medal Finals Winner
